Special Treasures
The Special Treasure items shown below are unique pieces that I chose particularly to demonstrate fine artisan skills, the integrity of the design, and the quality of the fabric.
Influenced by 20th century artists, the wall hangings are hand chain stitched in Kashmir, with a silk finish that brings the fabulous colours to life. Cushion covers (pictured in the second image below) size 45 cm x 45 cm – $135 per cover are available in each of the wall hanging designs.
The Anokhi coats are both hand block printed, and/or long stitched by hand, using traditional methods of textile treatment on cool wearable Indian cotton.
The silk/fine wool throws/bedspread are richly woven with the tree of life and flora and fauna motifs. The fringed wraps are of hand loomed printed silk, with a plain pashmina reverse.
